Reaserch paper blog
The career I plan on going into is criminal justice. I want to be in a career where something new and exciting is always going on, and I want to feel like I have done something useful by the end of the day. For the research paper we are assigned to do in our English class, I chose the topic to be on the technology in the criminal justice field and how it affects the way the system works. I will explain the different types of technology that we currently have developed and some that we haven’t even heard of yet that they are just thinking up. I will also explain the advantages this would cause in the field and the disadvantages if there are any. I think that is a very good and important topic to learn about and also share to some others. Also in the research paper there will be a brief description of the criminal justice career, the history of criminal justice and the technology used back in the day. That will allow the readers to know how much it’s changed in the last 70 years. The technology is very important, without it catching criminals and solving cases would be so much more difficult. For example if we didn’t have dna testing then it would be allot more difficult to figure out who’s blood is on the murder weapon or the crime scene. Also finger printing is a technology that helps us solve many cases. So as our technology develops its becoming more and more difficult for criminals to commit their crimes, even though a lot do get away I believe that within the next few years to come we will see a huge increase if not decrease in our system. ReplyDeleteI found your career choice very interesting. I like the fact that you want to be in criminal justice because it is so exciting because if you plan on working for numerous years, you have to like what you do, so that is really smart. Furthermore, I find the topic of your research paper to be "thinking outside the box." I would have never though to narrow down my career to the technology side, I forget how important those things are sometimes.

ReplyDeleteI thought about going into criminal justice. It really does sound interesting. I wanted to be a U.S. Marshal. Then I decided I'd feel bad when i would have to arrest all my friends. I would also like to hear what technology you'll be using actually. Good luck on your paper and your career.

ReplyDeleteNick, a really good career to get into. My sister is in this field and she really enjoys it. But on the other hand, it can be very dangerous also. I think it's a good choice for you and i'm sure you will do well in this choice.
ReplyDeleteSo are you thinking of being like a CSI person? I love watching that show and by reading your post thats kind of the drift I got from what your career choice was. Anyways I really liked reading your post, it was very interesting about the use of technology in the criminal world. Sounds like it would be a great career choice for you : )
